  1. (continued from previous page)
I lost about six hundred pounds worth and the light came every time before they went.
It used come at the same time every night, at twenty minutes to eight and the last time I saw it twas at a quarter past seven. The last time I saw it nothing died on me, but about an hour after a knock come to the door, and Ned Hayes came in. "Did you see the whore (light) going around to night?" says I. "Begob I did" says he, and the horse is after dying with me above in the stable."
The horse died on him that night. Tis sixteen years ago since that happened and I never seen the light since thanks be to God. But whatever it was it was bad, and I'd never believe anything else about lights ever since.
