    There was a Protestant by the name of Solomon Bess.

    There was a Protestant by the name of Solomon Bess. When he was dying he wanted the priest, but his people were black devils and they wouldn't allow the priest near the place. The lad kept crying out for the priest anyhow and begob there was a boy there and he said he'd go for the priest, So he went.
    Four of them got four sprongs and they stood at the door to keep the priest from going in. The priest came and went in and anointed the man in the bed, and came out again, and the fellows on the door never saw him. He went in and not wan of them saw him.
