    Ins an geimhreadh nuair a bíonns na h-oidhcheannta fada bailigheann na buachaillí agus na cailíní óga í teach eigint. Suidheann siad cois na teineagus déanann siad an clcluidh [?] sin lúra bog, lára bog. Cuireann siad a cosa amach, agus seasann duine acu suas agus tosnuigheann sé ag gabháil an rann seo:-
    "Lúra bog, lára bog
    Líuráin buidhe
    Buidhe O Neill
    Néillín priobán
    priobán súile
    suilidhe seicneach
    Seicnidhe Mulláin
    Ath Mulláin
    Mulláin Lathaighe
    Cúl na gcailleach
    Isteach go Phlaiceach."
