  1. There was an old school called Muloney's school in the district of Carnamoyle, Parish of Muff, Co. Donegal. It was an old man called Muloney, who lived in a thatched house beside Lisnaggra plantation, who taught in it. It was the first school my grandfather went to. He had to take two turf every morning for the fire, and twopence a week to pay for his teaching. The old wallsteads still remain on the right hand side of the road leading from Carnamoyle School to Lisnagra plantation.
