  2. There was a house here in Ballyclomack wan time and 'twas an awful house for cards. They'd often keep playing there until day light would be in the morning.
    Wan winter night they attacked to play about seven o'clock, and they had only a small butt of a candle. They sent some wan to the shop for candles anyway, and they attacked to play away with the bit of a candle. They played away all night and begob when they thought of the time it was four oclock in the morning, and the little [?] of a candle was burning away. The man of the house caught the cards
