  1. About twenty years ago a young man was at service with a farmer who lived in the Townland of Carnamoyle, Parish of Muff, Co. Donegal. When he got up one morning and went out, he saw the how of an old age pensioner in flames. The old age pensioner's name was Alexander Cooke. He lived alone. The young man gave the alarm and all the neighbours gathered. They forced their way in but they were too late. The bed was completely burned and there was nothing left of the old man only the burned remains. It was supposed that he had been smoking while in bed and the clothes caught fire.
