  2. The Local Forge.
    There are two forges in this district. Joseph Cole, and Thomas Gilfillan are the smiths. Their fathers were smiths for many years. Thomas Gilfillan's forge is situated near a road, and Joseph Cole's forge is situated beside a crossroads The roof of Joseph Cole's forge is boarded and the front and back walls are also boarded. The gables are built with stone. Thomas Gilfillan's forge has a tin roof and stone walls.
