- In the townland of Clough there is a river known as the Breanagh in Mrs McAuliffe's land. Many years ago there lived a turner whose trade was that of fancy ware designer.
The relics of the little hut are still to be seen and are known as "Insín Tórnóra."
In this district it is said that the Clydack got its name from a Scot. A noted Scottish poet, who visited this area, called it after the Clyde in Scotland
