  1. There is a fort near the road in the boundary between Kerry and Limerick.
    There is a tree in the middle of this fort and under it a crock of gold is hidden.
    It is supposed that an old man by the name of Mulcahy hid it there.
    He had this gold in his house and he suspected a raid was to be made on him.
    One night he packed his gold into a crock and hid it under this tree.
    Many attempts have been made to unearth this gold but all failed and some people lost their lives on account of the gold.
    It is said that it consists of 100 gold sovereigns which are well guarded by the good people every night.
