- Many games are played in my district at the different seasons of the year. In Summer we play "London Bridges". This is played by two girls joining their hands together. First they put their hands by their sides and say "London Bridges" all broken down". Then they tie one hand of each of the girls and say "London Bridges half built up". Then they tie all their hands and say "London Bridges all built up". Each one takes a name and after they pull. Great cries of shouting are heard from those who win.
We also play four corner fool - Four stand up in stones the last one, the fifth one is the fool. They pass from stone to stone. The person, who fails to have a stone, is the fool. Anther game is Píucín. This is played in a very funny manner. A cloth is put round a person's eyes and the one that he catches must put the cloth round his eyes. "A great big ship went through the allio" is another favourite game which we play when the weather(continues on next page)- Collector
