  1. Long ago there lived a man in Carrigavanna by the name of Reidy Seáin. At that time the butter was taken to Cork. They went every morning and returned that night or the following. Reidy Seáin had a bay horse which he used ride to Cork on. One morning Reidy Seáin went to Cork with the butter on the horse, he was travelling all day. When night came he was half-way to Cork. He stayed at the half way coach that night. When a man saw the fine horse he became anxious for the horse. He bid Reidy Seáin five pounds for the horse. Reidy Seáin would not sell the horse at all. The man went away and Reidy Seáin went to sleep. He left the horse in the coach.
    When Reidy Seáin woke in the morning the horse was not there at all. The man waited until Reidy Seáin went to sleep. He then stole
