Once there was a fairy, and she used to be seen at a kiln every morning very early.

Once there was a fairy, and she used to be seen at a kiln every morning very early. The men used to be going to the kiln for lime. No one ever talked to her because they were afraid of her. The police were sent for. So one morning one man was passing, he stopped his horse and he began talking to her, she told him that herself would not do anything to him. She told him that she owed half a crown in a shop. She bought something and she did not pay for it. She asked him why all the men and himself did not talk to her all the time. He said, this this was his first time coming to the kiln. She went to America and she died there, but she could not go to heaven until she pay the half crown, so her father paid the half crown, and she was never seen at the kiln again.
