  1. There is an old Chapel in the townland of Rusheenbeg. It is built in Maurice Donoghues farm. It was built by a man by the name of Timothy O Conell from Cahirciveen. It was built in the year 1807 and it was thrown down in the year 1860. The people used to to come from the County Bounds to hear mass at this church because there was no other church convenient to them except this one. The people used come walking and when they used to be leaving their houses they would bring their boots on their shoulders and then put them on.
The ruins of the chapel are still to be seen and the holy water pot is inside the door.
