    There was a man named Martin Hughes and he used be always raving about gold...

    digging and says he to him "Martain, Martain I'm the old boy". "Oh that's alright" says Martain "I'm married to your sister". The three buckoes couldn't believe their eyes when they saw Martain taking everything so cool. Then they decided on an other plan. One of them went off and got a cart-wheel and bound the spokes of it all around with straw. Then he set the straw on fire and let the wheel roll down to where Martain was standing and it blazing, and Martain did nothing only leapt out of the way and let the thing pass on. "Begob" says he "its an awful pity that you didn't stop, for I'm badly in want of some light to finish the job". The three others didn't know what to do to frighten Martain and they went off to hold an other meeting. While they were away Martain
