Then they got the bag up on their back and they went off in the direction of the sea. When they were on the way they met a man on the road, and Jack when he heard him coming said he would roar and bawl. The two step-brothers got inside the ditch and they left the bag and Jack in it on the side of the road. When the man was passing by Jack says "at last I am going to Heaven. "That's very well for you" says the man. "I hope you will have a good time there". So the man passed on and the two brothers came out again and they took up the sack and they(continues on next page)
