So they sold them all for ten shillings and then they came home and they were so made with Jack that they went straight to his home and they caught him and they put him in a bag and they tied the mouth of it. Then they got the bag up on their back and they went off in the direction of the sea. When they were on the way they met a man on the road, and Jack when he heard him coming said he would roar and bawl. The two step-brothers got inside the ditch and they left the bag and Jack in it on the side of the road. When the man was passing by Jack says "at last I am going to Heaven. "That's very well for you" says the man. "I hope you will have a good time there". So the man passed on and the two brothers came out again and they took up the sack and they
