    There was a woman lived in Garranstackle and her name was Biddy Flood. This was the time that Cromwell was over here in Ireland. One of the Cromwelliam came in one day and he was bending down to light his pipe when Biddy up with a pick and gave him a good welt in in the head and knocked him kicking.
