  1. There is a priest buried in Cooley graveyard who was martyred. One day he was riding on a horse and the enemy was following him. After a while when the enemy was short distance away from him they shot him. He was buried in Cooley graveyard but instead of putting his name on the tombstone the people cut out the figure of him seated on his horse. It is to be seen to this day.
