- There is one field on our farm called the "mill field" because there is a mill built on it. Another field is called "Micky's Brae" because a man named "Micky" owned it. Another field is called the "well field" because there is a well in it. Another is called the "crooked dale" because it is a crooked field. Another field on our farm is called the "six acres" because there are six acres in it. There is another field on our farm called "Ardan Ruadh" because the clay in the field is red. Another field on our farm is called the "spout field" because we have the water piped from it to the house. Another field is called the "whin hill field" because there is a whin hill at one end of it.
