    One day a boy went to rob a crow's nest on the top of this tree. A branch broke and he fell off.
    The next morning when he woke up his mouth was turned and it has remained so to the present day.
    A man, who lives near it, set potatoes there last year. The garden grew to perfection and he thought he would have a wonderful crop.
    He was greatly disappointed when he went to dig his potatoes to find he had none at all.
    When the public path was leading from Brosna to Mountcollins near this fort a funeral was seen passing one day.
    A neighbouring woman was washing clothes on the bank of the river near the fort.
