A man named Paddy Sheehy, who used to play the fife and used to attned every dance, was returning home one night by the way of the fort. Four fairy women came out and asked him to play certain airs for them.
He played until daybreak for them, they would not let him go sooner, and they danced to his music till daybreak.
In return they gave him a gift. The owner of this farm does not till the field of the fort, but the whitethorn trees around it are in bloom many weeks before the trees around the countryside.
