    I was sleepin on a loft wan time in an outhouse...

    I went to bed anyhow and I wasn't long in it when I heard a winning machine that was in the room beginning to make noise the very same as if somebody was turning it. I went over to it and lit a match but it stopped turning, and I went back to bed I wasn't long in bed when it started fresh again, and I went over to it a second time, but the moment I did it stopped again. I went back to bed a third time, but if I did the noise was louder than ever. I got up an' I was mad for if the place was haunted I would have liked to see the Ghost of there was wan in it. For I never believed in Ghosts in my whole life. I examined the machine thoroughly all outside, and while I was doing this, I saw the machine in motion again. I looked
