  1. Long ago the people used not buy blankets like they do now. They used to make the blankets at home out of wool. The women used to spin the wool and make thread out of it. They then gave the thread to a weaver and he used to weave it into blankets. These blankets were very heavy and warm, and were great for wear. Some of them are in the houses yet, and people like them because they are heavy and warm.
