  1. The old people of long ago had a lot of pisreoga. Here are some that have come down to us:-
    If they should meet a red-haired woman at a cross-roads, they would say that all their good luck would be gone for that week.
    When they were churning milk, and someone to come into the house, they would not let him out until he had taken the churn-dash for a while, lest he would bring the butter with him.
    When a child would come into a house, the people would not let him out, until they would give him salt, or a
