  1. The people used to have dances in their houses every night long ago
    The bread they had for the dances, was "boxty" bread. They used to go out to a pit of potatoes and bring in a bag of them, and was them and scrape them, and put boiled potatoes through them. Then they used to make the mixture into the form of a cake and bake it on a flag, and when they had twelve or thirteen cakes baked they used to eat them with new milk.
    Then when they had them eaten, they used to depart.
