  1. The fairs long ago were different to the fairs that are in it now. There used to be a special field in this district for the fair and that field was called "Páirc Donaigh." This field was in Pách-Frann and all the people of the district used to gather in there for the fair. There used to be a great fair always in it, on the 29th June.
    When cattle were bought, they were then marked with paint, and when pigs were bought a cut was made on their backs with a knife for a mark.
