  1. The place where our stable is built is called "Patch Larkin's corner". An old miser lived there and his name was Patch Larkin.
    He used to starve himself and go about in rags. Every penny he would get, he would hold it until he would have a sovereign. This he would put into an old cannister.
    Day and night he would keep it strapped inside his clothes.
