  1. Long ago there was a fairy staying on the road leading to the graveyard at Kilmeen. There was a dance held in Hannon's of the Racecourse and the people in this district attended the dance. When they were coming home from the dance they saw a light at the top of the road. They crossed the fields because they were afraid to go down the road. One night Jonny Bane and another man were passing, and they saw a woman sitting at a little table combing
