  1. Long ago the people had many cures. It is said that the seventh son of any family is supposed to be a doctor.
    They can cure ringworm, boils and all sorts of sores.
    Many cures can be given for a cold such as scaltine, hot milk, flaxseed and lemons.
    A sty in the eye can be cured by washing it with black tea.
    Gladden is supposed to cure the mumps. It is a herb and it grows like a flagger.
    It is a cure for the chincough to ask a man with a white horse to give you three cures. Whatever cures he says to give, will cure the chincough.
