  1. In olden times there were no shops in the country.
    The country people used to go to the town once every week to do their shopping.
    Sometimes the people used to give a small calf to the shopkeepers for three bags of flour.
    In olden times and to the present day people go around to the houses buying old boots and old clothes and give six pence a lb for them.
    Long ago when the people used to bring a cart of corn to the mill to get it ground, they used to bring a cart of turf to give to the miller for grinding it. The people have names on all the kinds of money, a shilling was
