    an old house owned by a man named "Supple Jack". Patrick Monahan went to Kilcooley school and the teacher was James Butler. My father went to Danesfort School and the teacher was Joe Moore.

  2. The roads in this district are - The bog road, The New road, Kilboct Road, Lecarrow boreen, Ballybroder Road, and Boreen na nGhadaidhe. The bog road road passes the bog. It is made a long time but it is tarred about 20 years now. Kilboct Road leads to Kilboct graveyard and it is made about 100 years now. The New road leads to Kilmeen graveyard. It is made about 24 years. The funerals used to pass the fields before that road was made. Lecarrow boreen leads to Lecarrow bog. Boreen na nGadhaidhe was made in the time of the Danes.
