  1. Hidden Treasure

A pot of gold is hidden under a fort bush in the townaldn of Gubaveeney

A pot of gold is hidden under a fort bush in the townland of Gubaveeney. It was put there by a fairy about one thousand years ago. Long ago a man named Tom Dolan and a woman named Alice Rooney went to dig it up. They began to dig and when they went down a little bit a big hound jumped up. They ran home and no one ever tried to get it again. No one knows the exact value (value) of it but they think it is about ten thousand pounds. Often huge red and white lights are seen around the place.
