  1. In this district there are a large number of cures for different diseases.
    The cure of the sprain is as follows: A piece of flax thread is put on the part sprained and left on until it falls off.
    Measles are cured by boiling nettles and giving the juice to the person to drink.
    The toothache is cured by putting a frog's leg into your mouth and putting it on the tooth in which the toothache is.
    To put a bridle on one's head and go out under a young donkey that never was ridden is a cure for whoopingcough.
