  1. In the townland of Brockagh on Pat Keany's land there is a fairy fort or a rock as it is called in the district. A great many lights used to be seen on it. Crys are sometimes heard on it yet.
One night when Pat Keany was coming from the road he met what he thought to be a turkey. He hit it with a stick but it would not move. It raced him back down the road and he could not get past it. After a while he took out his rosary beads and blessed himself. Immediately it went away and he got home alright. Some people say he cut a bush in the fort a few days before he got the scar[e].
