    There was an inn wan time and the following notice was written...

    of our honey." There was an old beggarman came to the inn wan time and he saw the notice and was looking at it for a long time. The owner of the inn came out and the beggarman asked him what was written on the notice. The man read it for him, and then the beggar answered.
    When I'm dry I cannot try
    The sweetness of your honey
    For if I go in the be 'ill sting because I've got no money."
    He said it so quickly that the owner of the inn took him to be a ready witted quare fella an' he brought him in and gave him a couple of bottle of stout and a good feed.
