  1. There was once a man in Lacken, and he was a great swimmer. His name was Tom Kelly.
    One day, his father and he were out fishing when a shark caught in their net. Then the shark turned the boat on them, and both men were cast out into the sea. The father was not able to swim at all. So the son caught him, and put him on his back, and swam twenty miles with him, and finally reached the shore, and so he saved his father's life.
