    people. Some of the people that he evicted left the country the time of the free emigration. More of them died of starvation.
    If the people of this place had a good deal of geese, they would have to give Mrs. Bourke, the land-lord's wife, half of them.
    The people were allowed to keep only two or three sheep. They would not be allowed to leave them all the year on their own land; they would have to put them grazing some other place. The people used to pay money to the land-lord, this was a collection which was called "Tithes". Each tenant was supposed to pay five Shillings.
