    Swellings can be removed by bathing them with very hot water.
    A cold in the head can be cured by drinking spring water, and by opening your eyes in spring water is a cure for weak sight.
    Nose bleeding can be cured by putting a key down your back.
    There are three people around here able to cure ringworm and boils by breathing on them. Mrs Fox from Carra, Peter Lyons from Knockmore, and Joe Fahey from Moyleen.
    People who wish to get cured by Mrs. Fox have to go to her three time after sunset.
