    On St. Brigid's Night, the boys would go out gathering pence. They use to dress themselves in false clothes, so that they would not be known.
    The boys now have a lot of games also. They make cages for birds, and in Winter-time when the snow is on the ground, blackbirds come to the door for crumbs, and the boys trap them with a basket.
    The girls used to make dolls, and they used make little houses from them. If they were going any place they would leave someone minding the doll, until
