My curse to Ballyara, to all its dirty lanes
I went knee deep in the puddle which gave me griping pains.
I travelled from old Kinvara, many a weary mile
But a meaner place than Ballyara is not in Erin's Isle

I have nothing to say to Carramore, for they freely did their part
And money and entertainment, they gave with their good heart.
I mean to do them justice some day that I have time
For their generous hospitality I'll make a good old rhyme.
