    their hunger. There was another boiler at Thomas Johnston's house in the townland of Gesganagh, and the people came from the district every day with little dishes for their supplies. Some of them used to get water cress that grows by the side of a spring well. First they used wash it, and then they used to put salt on it and eat it.
