    there was another landlord called Brigids who lived in England. He owned three townlands, Gownlawn, Creevelea and Tullynamoyle. Evictions were carried out in this district, and houses burned. There were two men named Travers and Gallagher evicted from Leimaskally to Tullintowel.
    Montgomery had to leave his castle by night and go to England. One of his sons was straying around from house to house in this district begging his meals about thirty years ago.
