    seeds of the corn that came from the mill. The seeds were steeped ib cold water for about one week or so till they would sour. It was then stirred and the juice strained into a pot which was kept on the fire untill it would start to boil. It was kept stirred all the time to save it from burning. It was then taken off the fire and allowed to cool and get firm. It was then eaten with fresh milk.
    Boxty was made by grating raw potatoes and wringing them dry.
    They were then mixed with boiled potatoes, sweet milk and salt. It was then baked in an opened pan without a lid.
