  1. Old Pat McGovern of Slievenakilla, Ballinaglera, Co Leitrim was the champion walker of Co. Leitrim. All the old men and women used to walk to Bundoran. All the old men used to walk to Co. Dublin to the harvest every Summer. They used to travel at the rate of about five miles per hour.
