The following story was told to me by my father a few nights ago. His age is about 53 years. He told me that outside Carraig Island there is supposed to be a little town. It was often seen from Carraig Island and from Kilrush. The people often heard noises and people dancing.
One Sunday when the people were bathing in Carraig they saw smoke in the water and heard noises. There was a boat out there one day and the boat struck the houses. The people go there yet to see the place.
