   Ó Chaitlín Bean Ui Fhloinn, Doire na gCaor, Baile na gCléireach, a fuair mé an dá bhéarsa seo leanas den amhrán ud "Caitlín Triall". Sean-bhean dob eadh bean Uí Fhloinn timcheall le 80 bliadhain d'aois. Sa mbliadhain 1929, sílim, do sgríobhas síos uaithi iad. Fuair sí bás anuaraidh (1937) * * * "Fuair mé letir amuigh ar an t-sliabh Ón gcailín ba deise dá bhfaca mé ariamh, 'Sí shiubhól' an talamh a's nach mbrúghóch' an féar 'S gur glaise a dhá súil ná an drúcht i gcraoibh. Is binne í ná an iomadú sheol tú síol ? Is binne fá dhó i ná an sneachta ar an gcraoibh, Ó péarla a' chúil chlannaigh nár pheacuigh ariamh, Is gur ab iad reultaí na maidne rinne Caitlín Triall" * * * The first line of the second verse is corrupt apparently. I include these verses merely to show that the song was known in this part of Co. Leitrim and also as they are variants on those already published.
