   The other day our teacher asked us to get all the information we could find. The first man I met, was, Micheal Enright and I opened my conversation with, "Will to-morrow be fine sir". He took his pipe out of his mouth and looked to the Ballybunion direction and said it would be very frosty in the morning, but the rest of the day would be fine. He also told me some more which I will tell. If there is a ring round the moon it is a sign of dullness and rain. The tides too tell signs of good and bad weather. If the tides are bright and clear it is a sign of good weather, and if the tides are dirty and heavy, it shows the opposite sign. A starlit sky is a sign of bad stormy weather. If the crane flies towards the bogs it is a sign of bad weather and if it stays on the seas it is a sure sign of good weather. If the swallows fly low, bad weather, and if they fly high, a sign of good weather. If the sun sets red, it is a sign of good weather. The south winds bring rain, and north winds bring snow and storms.
